Hi and thanks for checking out my blog! Writing has always been my therapy. This blog started a few years back when I read a blog post that inspired me to write, which inspired me to blog and here I am. I took a break for a few years but now I’m making a come back.

So who am I?

First, I am a single mom to one amazing son who is now grown and off on his own (for the most part). It’s been interesting beginning to redefine my life and role as he grew older.

Second, I am a writer. Writing has always been my therapy. I feel that in writing, I can better Express my feelings and emotions. When my dad passed away in 2018, I found myself writing letters to him on a daily basis. This helped me work through so much of my grief. Although I had taken a break from blogging, I never stopped writing.

I am a Color Street Independent Stylist! This is a new and exciting role I have recently taken on. This, too, has inspired me to write again because it has given me purpose and drive to build my own business. It has brought out my creative side and helped me to empower and inspire other women. I love lifting people up, especially women.

An independent insurance agent for the last 19 years. Insurance was one of my first jobs in high school and when I became a young mom, I went back for the stability. I never planned to stay, yet here I am, almost 20 years later. So you could say I know a few things about it.

These are all the hats I wear, but who I truly am and strive to be is a kind, gentle, soul. I am a giver who is learning to receive. I am a woman on a mission for social justice, women’s empowerment and just simply spreading love and kindness. At the end of the day, my goal is to put a smile on someone’s face or to be able to share a story that makes you feel like you’re not alone. Because in the end what really matters to me is the way I made people feel and leaving a legacy of love.
